Dear customer,
As you may be aware due to changes in the environmental permit, issued by the Flemish Ministry to the operators of Antwerp Airport, restrictions have been placed on the number of aircraft movements fuelled by AVGAS 100LL.
Antwerp airport has been issuing updates to their customers directly and have issued a NOTAM in relation to restrictions in AVGAS 100LL availability. As the number of movements is reaching the limit allowed, the Airport has decided to transition from AVGAS 100LL to UL91.
Air bp is supporting the airport in the transition which is expected to take effect from week commencing 19 May 2025, with UL91 available via the existing self-serve facilities.
What does this mean for you
To prevent misfuelling our self-serve facilities are grade specific, so if your aircraft / engine is compatible with UL91, you need to use an Air bp UL91 Sterling card to access the self-serve facilities (not your AVGAS Sterling card).
If you do not have a UL91 card, we invite you to follow these simple steps:
- Check with your aircraft/engine manufacturer and verify that their aircraft is approved for use with UL91.
- If it is, log onto your myairbp account and click on the ‘card manager’ feature and apply for a new UL91 card for the aircraft(s), ensuring you clearly include the full aircraft and engine details (manufacturer, model, and type).
- If you have problems logging into myairbp please visit here.
Once your request is made, our Sterling card customer support team will review the request by verifying details in the application and if approved will process the request.
We anticipate the application to take up to two weeks, so to ensure you can fuel your aircraft we recommend you complete this as soon as possible.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us via myairbp.
Kind regards,
Air bp
