FYI: As of last week, the separate TBM class rating in EASA land no longer exists. There is now a uniform SET rating which only requires differences training for each airframe and a couple of endorsements like high performance, undercarriage, EFIS, pressurization, single lever, just like in FAA land. https://www.easa.europa.eu/en/downloads/11737/en The consequences are small for TBM only pilots but very positive for people that fly multiple types of SETs. It should also help to increase the number of examiners as they do not have to be rated on TBMs, just any SET. TBM pilots still need to do a 2-yearly check ride but it can be on any kind of SET. The license rating text will also change, no more “TBM SET” but just “SET” in the future.
